According to a new survey in which respondents were asked to rate their own looks on a scale of one to ten, Americans are a very self-confident bunch.

It wouldn’t be Christmas time without Christmas movies, and even though the same half-dozen or so holiday classics tend to be played again and again during December two Christmas films folks are still not sick of are ‘A Christmas Story’ and ‘It’s a Wonderful Life.’

Sixty-seven percent of Americans think that a woman should take her husband’s surname upon marriage, according to an Indiana University survey of 815 adults.

71 percent of American workers are either “not engaged” or “actively disengaged” in their work. According to Gallup’s employee engagement index, which is based on workers’ responses to 12 workplace elements, 19 percent of the employed are actively disengaged in their work, 52 percent are not engaged, and only 29 percent feel engaged in their jobs.

Staying in touch is more important than staying in smell. A new survey from McCann Worldgroup of more than 6,000 people around the world found about half would be willing to give up their sense of smell over the ability to engage in social networking.
