What’s up With the 7-Eleven Shut Downs? Jadwin Avenue, No way! [VIDEO]
Look! No chains on the doors! I actually stopped at this 7-Eleven location today/Tuesday on Jadwin Avenue in Richland and purchased lotto tickets. I asked the clerk why they were closed and he replied that they were "short on help." Whatever! Glad to see the neighborhood store open again!
UPDATE!
Say what? Another 7-11 Shutdown? This one was on Jadwin Avenue in Richland. I went by the store's location on Sunday. It was closed. Fast forward to this Monday afternoon, this same 7-Eleven store was shut down. The store was locked up tighter than a drum.
Last week, the Clearwater Avenue store in Kennewick was closed.
After googling, I found a page at 7-Eleven.com:
The health and safety of our customers is our top priority. Out of an abundance of caution your local 7-Eleven may be closing daily for enhanced sanitation measures. In addition, some 7-Eleven store locations may be temporarily closed for sanitation.
Also, I reached out to our local news partners to hear if they've come up with anything. No one has heard anything definitive yet. By the way, I called the number on the website and got a recording that the number was disconnected.
If you're like me, this throws off our day. While I was snapping photos, searching for more info, a 7-Eleven customer came up and asked why the store was closed. I told him that I didn't know why. He said he just stopped by to "get a hot dog." He was disappointed, as I was.
What is going on? Is there a shortage of employees? Are they indeed doing a sanitizing of the 7-Eleven locations? What's happening 7-Eleven?
Inquiring minds want to know, and we want our Slurpees.
