Benton County Deputies are searching for the suspect who did this early Thursday morning near Benton City.

ANOTHER sobering reminder about NOT leaving an unlocked, unattended vehicle to warm up--even for just a few minutes.  The owner had just started it, and was only away for a couple of minutes. They found their SUV not far away after calling the Sheriff. Whoever took it smashed it into an orchard, took out 65 trees, then piled it and high-centered it onto a fence area.

The suspect, who fled on foot, is still on the loose.  Like our local police, Sheriff's Deputies remind citizens (even in rural areas) do NOT leave it running unlocked or unattended. The investigation continues, officials didn't say if they have any leads.
