Bed Bugs, Sea World & Giant Pizza — Greg’s Summer Vacation to San Antonio
You may have heard, I went to San Antonio last week to pick my son up from Air Force basic training. I couldn't believe the stuff that happened to me and I gotta say, the bed bugs thing came full circle.
Let's start with the bed bugs.
We get back from the Air Force base and we all decide to chill for a bit in the room. The front desk informs me that the maid found an identified bug in my room! And they want to move us to another room. It turns out my room had bed bugs. They took all of our belongings and had them fumigated and dry cleaned. We have no clothes, everything was bagged and taken away until 4 p.m. the next day. WTF! Then we have to stand naked in our rooms until the clothes on our backs were washed by in-house laundry.
My son wanted to go to Sea World. It was $65 just to walk in the door -- but the Air Force comped us five passes! Is that awesome or what!? We saw the killer whales jump, the beluga whales and dolphins show, the shark exhibit and more.
I loved the river walk. San Antonio is famous for it and there were a lot of great shops and restaurants like there's no tomorrow. At night the restaurants turn into clubs. It had great ambiance with the water and all the people -- it was really fun.
