Benton-Franklin Counties Gets First Confirmed Case of Coronavirus

Our luck has run out in Benton-Franklin Counties as we've now confirmed our first case of COVID-19.

The Benton Franklin Health District has confirmed that a Franklin County woman is the first to test positive for the coronavirus.

We've been lucky to be one of the areas in Washington State where there were no confirmations of COVID-19 but it looks like we've got our first case.

The Health District says the woman is in her early 20's and it appears the case is linked to foreign travel.

The Health District is now working to see who all the woman came into contact with over the next few weeks.

The woman is being treated at a local hospital.
