Broken Windows, Theft at Candy Mountain Trail Parking Lot

Crime is on the rise, brazenly in broad daylight, at the recently opened Candy Mountain Trailhead near Richland.

Benton County Sheriff's deputies are investigating three separate parked cars having their windows smashed and valuables taken. A similar incident was reported in May, too.

Deputies say the person below is one of interest

and his vehicle is a tan sedan.

It's too bad, but the best advice is to just leave your valuables at home. If you can't, lock them in the trunk. If you don't have a trunk, take your valuables with you. NBC Right Now talked to some victims.
