Thousands of friends and family gathered to see over 600 graduates participate in the Columbia Basin College Commencement Ceremony. It was the largest graduation in CBC history. The college awarded more than 1,300 diplomas.

Three graduates that were amongst those celebrating (pictured above) were John Myers, Talitha McCall, and Lisa Trescott.

John Richard Myers from Zilah, graduated with Honors last night. During his time at CBC he served as a member of the ASCBC Student Leaders acting on the Service & Activities Board. John also participated in the music department as a member of the Concert, Chamber, and Jazz choir. Myers will be transferring to Eastern Washington University and hopes to one day be a Teacher.

Talitha M. McCall from Mesa, graduated with High Honors yesterday evening. She has been an active member of the music department singing in Concert, Chamber, and Jazz choir. McCall’s intended major is in Music. Immediately she will remain in the area to continue her education and participate in culture and arts events throughout the community.

Lisa Marie Trescott from Kennewick, graduated with High Honors yesterday evening. She also has been very involved in the music department singing in Concert, Chamber, and Jazz choir. Trescott has been the recipient of several scholarships while attending CBC and has proven herself a student of great academic achievement. Lisa will be transferring to Eastern Washington University to pursue a degree in Education.

All three featured graduates are friends and members of FreeForm. They were able to sing in the commencement ceremony and walk together.
