A 60-year-old DUI suspect crashed his vehicle so hard early Saturday morning, he tore off the rear suspension and axle, beside wiping out the rest of his rig.

Around 12:10am Kennewick police responded to the 900 block of East Chemical Drive and found Jeffrey Reiman at the scene with what was left of his SUV. He took out a hydrant, and a couple of posts embedded in concrete protecting it.

Officers said at the scene he was impaired, and arrested for DUI, remarkably, he was not injured. Several other DUI cases were handled in the early morning hours, all of them without injury as there were some other fender benders.
