Local restaurant owners are warning of food delivery app scammers. Recently, ElFatCat Grill was the victim of a scam artist. ElFatCat Grill issued a post on Facebook letting customers know that they are not affiliated in any way with the popular food delivery app DoorDash.

I did a Google search of the best food delivery apps and GrubHub was #1, followed by DoorDash and UberEats.
Still, unsettling, I'd be furious if I ordered using a delivery app and NEVER received my order. You may want to call your favorite restaurant and ask which food delivery service they're working with.
We are in a pandemic. However, I'm with Joel Watson on this one. To truly support local business, visit the restaurant. You don't have to dine at the location. Order ahead, pick it up and take it to go. Enjoy your meal at home, the workplace, or wherever. I get the convenience of delivery. We're sometimes very busy.
It's sad that some people ruin what's supposed to be a good thing for others.
Why not just go the extra step. Call the restaurant, place your order, and pick it up. Of course, some restaurants offer their own delivery.
