Go Fund Me Account Set Up for Othello Toddler Killed in Shooting
A tragic event over the weekend has the family setting up a Go Fund Me account for a 4-year-old toddler that was killed accidentally in Othello.
You might've seen the story over the weekend of a young boy. Tragically, Jeremiah Perez was shot and killed by his father who didn't know the gun was loaded.
According to reports, Othello Police arrested Jeremiah's father Felipe Tapia-Perez.
Othello Police say Tapia-Perez admitted that he accidentally shot his own son while handling a gun. He has arrested and charged for suspicion of 2nd Degree Manslaughter, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Alien in Possession of a Firearm.
Angelica Moreno started the Go Fund Me to help the family cover funeral and medical expenses. Moreno posted details of the fundraising on the Go Fund Me page:
Jeremiah (Miah) was only 4 years old when he went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2021. His loss was so sudden but his short time with us was filled with so much love and hope. Miah was a little fighter from day one, he never let his medical conditions hold him back. He was loved by everyone who had the pleasure to meet him.
Losing a child is a terrible heartbreak no parent should ever have to go through and unfortunately, this has become his mom's reality. This tragedy has made her not only a grieving mother but a single mother of 3. We are asking for donations to help cover funeral and medical expenses during this difficult time.
It's a tragedy but hopefully, something good can come from Jeremiah's passing and he'll be able to rest in peace with donations from kind-hearted strangers. The fund has already raised close to $3000 with a goal of $15,000. You can check out more details on the Go Fund Me account here.
