Hazardous Waste Collection Event Next Saturday @ Kennewick Fairgrounds
Just in time, before winter hits, the Benton County 2021 Household Hazardous Waste Collection will be held on Saturday, October 30th.
The event is free for all city and county households of Benton County.
NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY
The event will be held at the Benton County Fairgrounds (main parking lot) in Kennewick from 8 am till 3 pm. (1500 South Oak Street-Kennewick, WA 99337) Longer wait times are expected between 8 am and 10 am.
Items that will be accepted include:
Propane tanks, pool chemicals, paints, cleaning products, gasoline, yard chemicals, fertilizers, batteries (acid and alkaline), fire extinguishers, motor oils, and antifreeze.

Cleaning Elements
Bleach, shower, tub, and tile cleaners, oven, drain, and toilet cleaners, wood and metal cleaners, and polishes.
Other Flammable Products
Kerosene, home heating oil, diesel fuel, lighter fluid.
Indoor Pesticides
Ant and cockroach sprays and baits, flea shampoos, and sprays, bug sprays, mothballs, mouse and rat poisons, and baits.
Workshop and Painting Products
Glues, adhesives, stains, finishes, strippers, removers, oil and enamel paints, paint thinners, turpentine, photo chemicals, fixatives, and other solvents.
Lawn and Garden Supplies
Herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides.
Miscellaneous items
Driveway sealer, mercury thermometers or thermostats, and batteries.

Asbestos, Radioactive, Biohazards (needles or sharps), Explosives (ammo, marine flares, or fireworks)
