IF YOU DID NOT TAKE OUT PELL GRANTS FOR YOUR STUDENT LOANS

If your student loans are not Pell grants, you may qualify for a $10,000 debt forgiveness.

IF YOU HAVE HAD YOUR FEDERAL INCOME TAXES GARNISHED BECAUSE OF PAST-DUE STUDENT LOANS

If you have been victim to having your federal income taxes garnished by the U.S. Treasury for your past-due student loan debt and now qualify for the partial cancellation, you can now clear up your accounts and begin receiving your tax refunds again!

WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS TO GET SOME OF YOUR STUDENT LOAN DEBT CANCELED?

An application will be going out to those who qualify for student loan cancellations in the coming months before the end of the year. You can sign up for email notifications from the U.S. Department of Education here. Make sure to select the box that says, "Federal Student Loan Borrower Updates."
