The City of Richland has announced phase two of the Howard Amon Park Bank Stabilization and Beach Enhancement Project will begin Monday, July 30.
Richland parks crews will support volunteers from the Richland Rotary Club who will work on the weekdays to construct a rock wall from Lee Dock south about 400 feet to where the current rock wall and beaches are located.
The project should take 2-3 weeks to complete. During that time, the beach section will be closed during the week, but open on the weekends.
The popular shoreline pathway will remain open, but workers will be hauling boulders across the south end of the trail near the Hampton Inn. Please use caution during this time.
