School is back in session and school zones patrols are netting speeders that are exceeding the 20 mile an hour restriction.

Kennewick Police are warning drivers that they are no longer going to warn you and that you are more than likely going to get a speeding ticket for the infraction.

KPD say they made 60 stops last week with most resulting in tickets for drivers. KPD went to their Facebook page to warn drivers about the patrols.

KPD is reporting a mix of offenders from parents, teens and folks without kids.

A ticket in a school zone will cost you double a regular speeding ticket. You can check out more details on the school zone patrols here
