Why Faith Martin Says ‘Dating a Horse Girl Isn’t a Bad Idea’
Us 'horse gals' have heard it all! Believe me. From How we spend waaay too much money on horses, trailers, hay, vitamins, farrier services, barns, fencing and the list goes on. Of course all of that is entirely true! BUT, there are many benefits to dating someone who makes horsemanship a part of their daily lives.
For instance, If you are in a relationship with a horse woman, she doesn't mind when you run off with your buddies and play golf for a weekend, because she'll pack up her dogs and horses and head to the mountains with friends for some great trail riding and have plenty of interesting stories to tell once you both return.
Horse riding therapy is a real thing
She won't get on you about picking up after yourself at home. In fact her focus will mainly be about whether or not her barn is equipped with all the necessary items for her horse to have everything possibly needed to be comfortable and healthy.
And, think of the health benefits to you! Your horse gal will know virtually everything about keeping up with good 'Gut Health' teeth and bone health. And, have plenty of remedies and supplements (that she doesn't mind sharing with you) as well!
Are you as healthy as your horse

And, what man doesn't appreciate a woman that can drive a big trailer and learn to back up proficiently even when faced with tight spaces from becoming lost too many times on a horse adventure! And don't even get me started about how well we can dig a post hole or fix a fence. Not to mention our camping skills and talents with Dutch Ovens and cooking on grills.
And if you ever need an 'instant pen" for anything we can quickly rustle up some panels or hot wire and be ready in a jiffy!
Plus, if you've ever traveled with a horse gal, you know you could just pull over to the side of the road and she has no problem doing a quick hop out and back in, rather than have to stop at a fancy restroom.
Why do women love horses so much
You'll find your horse gal is usually always ready with insect repellant, sunscreen and snacks probably in the same cute little container as the extra hoof pick. She'll have salves and antibiotic and cleansing gels and vet wraps at her fingertips, neatly stored.
And your horse gal will never mind how fancy of a car you want to drive, as long as you're good with her having a fully furnished Living quarter horse trailer and an equally powerful (not too old) truck to tow it with.
You won't have to wait for hours for your horse gal to get ready for a night out. If she showers and puts on fresh clothing, she's good to go!
She will always have an array of applicable boots, shoes and horse and summer, spring or winter pants and parkas and gloves and hats. So your horse gal will always be ready for what ever outing you want to take her on.
But here is the best benefit: Horse gals have learned early on how to "partner" they know how to listen and how to understand your body language and your body positions in relation to their own. And, they make the BEST mom's! Because Horse Gals know how to love and nurture and care for another soul to the upmost potential.
They've learned what its like to sacrifice where they live, how they dress, what they own (or don't own) in order to keep their equine child happy and healthy. They have learned how to love a soul so much that they'd brave harsh weather, scary terrain, and little comforts themselves to ensure their horse is properly cared for.
Now...Do they have room in their life for YOU? Of course, and you will get the same attention and care that she gives her horse or her children. And if you yourself ride as well? Then your horse woman will rest easy at night in your arms knowing that she is completely understood and there is no better feeling than that. You'll have her as your biggest fan for life!
