It's one of those great road trip spots on your way from Tri-Cities to Portland that is a must-see for most travelers.

It looks like Multnomah Falls will stay closed for the foreseeable future.

The Eagle Creek fire of the summer has US Forest Service working overtime to get things cleaned up and opened again. The biggest obstacles are trees and rocks still coming down from the burnt landscape.

The closure also affects the trails and the Columbia River Highway. The Restaurant at the Falls is still smoky and being scrubbed from top to bottom.

The DOT and US Forest Service don't have a time table for the Falls to open but both departments are working hard to make sure that the area is safe once everything opens up again.
