The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory has funding to build a new building starting next December. That means new construction jobs are coming!

The general contractor will be Harvey Cleary Builders looking off plans from Kirksey Architecture. The new building will be 110,000-145,000 square feet, or anonther room for 175 PNNL employees.

Work will continue for about a year and a half.

And while nothing is official yet, Columbia Basin College is also seeking funding to replace or remodel several buildings in the next three years. If you have a teenager exploring Tri-Tech or a loved one exploring a job change, the prospects for the construction industry in the Tri-Cities is looking strong.
