A 38-year old woman's poor decisions have landed her behind bars and her dog has been placed with Animal Control.

When you already have several active warrants out for your arrest, it's probably not a great idea to call attention to yourself in an area where you probably have absolutely NO business being. On top of this, you brought your dog along?

While we don't know the circumstances, we do know that Kennewick Police were contacted early Monday for a report of a suspicious female at a storage unit near North Fruitland Street and West Columbia Drive.

Upon arrival, Police were familiar with the woman, Nicole Jean Walsh, and confirmed that there were warrants out for her arrest. As an officer attempted to take Walsh into custody, she resisted. After a minor scuffle, Walsh was placed into handcuffs.

Because Police were unable to contact any of Walsh's family members, Tri-Cities Animal Control was called to take custody of her 3-year old dog.

That poor pup had no idea what was going to happen. It's sad because the pooch now has to pay a price for Walsh's actions. Think about it, the dog is staying with unfamiliar company in a foreign territory. No doubt, the dog will be completely cared for, however, the pup will miss Walsh. It's not fair.

Hopefully, when the dog is reunited with its owner, Walsh will be responsible to make better decisions when the two are out walking.
