It comes on the radio and you always crank it up to 11. I'm talking about Jessie's Girl from Rick Springfield. It's a classic song that almost didn't get released back in 1981.

It's now everywhere and after 40 years, We got a chance to talk with Rick Springfield and discuss Jessie's Girl and the album "Working Class Dog" that's now become part of Classic Rock royalty and a part of everyone's karaoke playlist.

From its smoking guitar riffs to its catchy lyrics, Jessie's Girl has become an anthem for a generation and it's crazy to think that the record company wasn't going to release the song.

Rick recalls that what made Jessie's Girl so different at the time was the fact that the radio airwaves were flooded with soft rock ballads and disco. A Pop/Rock song like Jessie's Girl had no hope of getting played according to the record company.

Take a listen to the interview as we talk with Rick about his new book, streaming pay-for-view special, and the 40th anniversary of the classic album "Working Class Dog".
