Yakima Police have received reports of people calling residents soliciting money for an Officer's funeral and family. A few days ago, the Yakima Police Department lost Sergeant Joseph Deccio in the line of duty.

Yakima Police will never contact you directly for any type of donation. The Department has posted on social media that they do intend to have a formal site up and running soon for those wishing to donate to officer Deccio's family.
