In the last week, unknown subject(s) broke into one of the Lower Valley fire stations and stole eleven sets of personal gear. This puts our valley fire fighters in a bind, by not having the proper protection they need for their calls. All the gear says “YCFD 5” on the back.
While we don't really think about the odds of being maimed or killed in a collision on the streets and highways in the Yakima Valley, accidents do indeed happen everyday.
