The holidays revolve around getting together with friends and family. The majority of these gatherings involve loads of traditional foods, sweets, and drinks. My favorite :)

Both crab and rocky road fudge are reserved for Christmas in my house along with broccoli cauliflower salad, buttery rolls washed down with sprite and cranberry juice. I plan on eating it all, maybe even picking up cinnamon rolls for everyone for breakfast and also another one of those charcuterie boards and I might even hit up my caramel apple lady. I mean are you even living if you don't have a caramel apple lady? Skies the limit :)

I popped on that scale this morning and was pleased to see that I currently weigh-in at 189.4. I don't care that it isn't even a whole pound lost, I don't weigh 190 today :) But if I did that would be ok to.

With all the sweets and treats and happy times happening, hopefully, they are happening. I wanted to try and create some delicious and relatively healthy meals to keep the calorie count down in the times I am not stuffing my face with the favorites so I went to town at the grocery store.

Half of the challenge of getting inspired is eye candy. Does your food look good enough to eat? Try and mix up textures and colors.

I'll be putting together a sheet pan of roasted veggies tossed in olive oil salt and pepper including mushrooms, zucchini, red and yellow cherry tomatoes, asparagus with some purple onion.

I also decided to try some red quinoa and will cut up a chicken. Top that with some of that fancy green sauce

I don't have the original recipe but this one includes pistachios and seems like something worth looking into :)

With the cold weather and added holiday stresses, overeating or under eating happen. If you can at the very least try to keep chugging that water you might, just might be able to help the stomach issues. Just saying.

Lastly, I wanted to give you a heads up that the FREE support group I run on my professional page Sarah J the DJ called Get It Right! Get It Tight! will be going public beginning January, 1st 2020.

We have been a private group for about three years, I let them know I am ready to take this thing to the next level and I would LOVE for you to join us at any time. Grab your friends cause they can come too.
