Last weekend I had the pleasure of checking out the new Wildhorse Resort & Casino in Pendleton, Oregon. All I can say is, WOW. It's only a one-hour car ride from Tri-Cities and has a lot to offer. The new tower is 10 stories high and offers several choices in rooms. We chose a suite, and it was well worth the extra $60. Our suite had a wonderful living room area with a wet bar, the bedroom featured a king-size bed with luxury linens and a huge bathroom with a jetted tub. The best part was the panoramic views of the Blue Mountains.
The casino has a variety of slots and table games such as black jack, poker and craps. I joined the "Club Wild" players club and earned a free play coupon. The casino also has a nightclub/sports bar called "Wildfire" that features free live music on the weekends.
Don't miss the spectacular five-screen Cineplex featuring two 3-D screens and a massive 279-seat theater. For the kids, they now have an arcade and children's entertainment center.
Over all, I was very impressed and had a blast -- and won a few dollars. I can't wait to go back, and next time I'll be sure to get a tee time at the beautiful 18-hole golf course.
