The Year I Couldn’t Find The Hidden Easter Eggs
Easter is almost here and as my family are embarking on our Easter festivities, I'd love to wish you and your family a great holiday as well.
I do have a favorite Easter story from many years ago and hopefully you'll enjoy it as much I enjoy telling it.
I'm not sure how old I was but I know I was under 10 years of age. My Foster Mom had sneaked out into the yard in the middle of the night one year to hide all of my Easter eggs so that I'd be surprised when I woke up on Easter Sunday.
The day came and like every kid would do, I grabbed my Easter basket and raced into the yard to find all the hidden eggs.
The only problem that Easter morning was that the only eggs I found where left over colored egg shells....yes....shells....no eggs.
My Mom was shocked and horrified on the missing eggs. My Mom thought she'd covered every contingency but she'd forgotten about my Border Collie Joe who decided the eggs were meant for him.
He'd eaten the eggs (leaving the shells).
My Mom thought I'd be upset but we just laughed about it that morning.
Easter is about more than candy and colored eggs, it's all about the wonderful memories that are made with your family.
I hope you enjoyed the story and I hope you have a great Easter holiday.
