Wire Thieves Sought in Umatilla County Farm Irrigation Thefts
Umatilla County Sheriff's Deputies are hoping you can help with an investigation into who's stealing electrical wire from area farm-land irrigation sites.
The wire that's taken is 12-gauge.
According to the Umatilla County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, the unknown suspects are hitting up large crop farms using water pumps providing water for irrigation. The thieves are cutting through the wire with a saw and tying the wire to a vehicle pulling it from the conduit.
Those same vehicles were taken from other area farms.
The suspects eluded deputies. If you have any information on the wire thieves, please contact the Umatilla County Sheriff's Office at 541-966-3651. Detective Kacey Ward is who you'll want to speak with regarding wire theft cases.
