In Yakima, we are hoping to break records. The last drug take-back day in October of 2020 was a monumental day, with over 90 pounds of drugs taken in within four hours. I was hoping you'd be so kind to spread the word far and wide so we can crush the previous weight. Obviously, there is a lot of unused items out there. Let's spread the awareness of this day so addicts aren't able to get their hands on your unused stash and everyone feels a bit more secure. Addiction is a wild place to be and removing access and temptation will benefit everyone.
So how do you do it? Collect every unused or expired prescription that you've got, throw them all in a bag, and swing on by the
Yakima Sheriff's Office located at 1822 S. 1st Street in Yakima between 10 am - 2 pm on Saturday, April 24th, 2021
