Deputies Make “Heaven-ly” Capture in Benton City Home Invasion
Benton County Sheriff's Deputies took a 21-year old female into custody after breaking into a home in Benton City Thursday morning.
The whole ordeal began just after 3 am when Police were called to a residence near 13th Street and Karen Avenue. While the homeowner managed to make it out safely, the intruder barricaded herself inside the property.
Tri-Cities Regional SWAT was called in along with Pasco, Kennewick, & Richland police Officers to assist in the incident. The intruder refused to answer commands, and after a nearly 7-hours long standoff, Heaven Wilcox eventually surrendered to law enforcement.
Wilcox did suffer a minor injury from a K9 bite in the altercation. She was treated for her injuries and booked for Residential Burglary.
