With the NFL labor situation in a state of flux, Cam Newton may have to start thinking about singing for his supper.

Or maybe not.

The No. 1 overall draft pick of the Carolina Panthers showed off his pipes last weekend by belting out Justin Bieber’s 'Baby' while participating in the Panini NFL Rookie card shoot in Los Angeles.

Let's hope Newton isn't as tentative when trying to elude linebackers as he was trying to channel his inner teeny bopper. After his Bieber moment, Newton seemed to find something more in his range when he took on the Ying Yang Twins' 'Whistle Song.'

Newton is hardly the first NFL star to give it the ol' college try when it comes to singing, although we doubt he's going to secure himself a record deal anytime soon. It's nice to see, though, that Hines Ward isn't the only football player who's shown he's not afraid to take on the arts.
