What's happening with Kennewick's Double Dragon Chinese Restaurant?

After a fire in December last year, the restaurant at 3107 West Clearwater Avenue has never re-opened. There's a sign on the front door that says they're temporarily closed.

We asked if anyone knew the fate of Double Dragon on Facebook.

Yvonne replied:

40% of businesses close permanently after a disaster like a fire. I’m guessing they didn’t have the funds to rebuild like many other businesses that have had a fire.

And from Renee,

There was a fire its been closed for quite a while but I saw people in there the other day working on it.

What's a gal to do? My all-time favorite China Cafe closed. Although, there's hope. China Cafe is planning a return. They'll be opening in a new location at the Marineland Village. So, there's that.

But what about the fans of Double Dragon? Will they re-open?

A friend of mine asked me what I knew. Of course, I don't know. So, I posted on Facebook. She told me she would get takeout from Double Dragon pretty regularly. She also enjoyed dining in the restaurant with her family. A lot of people are missing the Double Dragon.
