Girl Scouts Warn: Don’t Force Kids To Hug Relatives

The Girl Scouts are reminding parents that forcing kids to hug relatives may not be the best thing to do during the holidays.

The Girl Scouts blog caused controversy, which is shocking to me. There are actual people that are disagreeing with this practice.

We all grew up in an era when "mandatory hugs" were expected but in this day and age,parents need to be vigilant on who's hugging their kid, even if it's family.

A thank you for a gift or a handshake is appropriate and not the obligatory kiss or hug.
