Local Man on the New Season of “Gold Rush”

A local man, Stuart McKenzie is getting more than his fifteen minutes of fame. He is getting a whole season of fame! Stuart will be appearing on the popular show "Gold Rush."

Stuart is a Kennewick man who is married to Jamie Mckenzie and together they have an adorable little girl named Halo. He grew up in Richland and graduated from Hanford High in 2000.

If you are a fan of the show you know the name Fred Lewis, Fred is a member of Parker's crew. Fred is the team's special forces medic, security detail, and adventurer.

"When Fred couldn’t make it to the Yukon due to Covid he decided to invest his own money and start his own team in Sumpter Oregon. He wanted them to be military guys that he knew, that is where Stuart comes in...  Fred and stuart have known each other for years doing non profit work together for Veterans. Stuart was an army recon scout sniper with The 1-32nd infantry 10th Mtn Division. He was injured in Iraq in 2004, had his hand and leg severely wounded." ~Jamie Mckenzie

All the members of Fred's team are wounded Veterans, all who have incredible stories.
