Multiple Convenience Store Robberies-Assault Keep Police Busy This Week
A pair of convenience store robberies continue to keep Kennewick Police searching for suspects.
Police say while they were leaving the suspect also assaulted the clerk on duty.
DID K-9 FIND THE SUSPECT IN FIRST INCIDENT?
Early Sunday morning Police were called to the Rocket Mart at the corner of Canal and Edison in Kennewick for a report of a robbery.
Police didn't indicate what was taken, but the suspect had fled just prior to their arrival. A K-9 track was used but failed to turn up the suspect.
Then early Wednesday morning just after 2 AM the Circle K at the corner of 4th and Vancouver was hit by a robber, except this suspect grabbed some merchandise then attempted to leave the store. Police say while they were leaving the suspect also assaulted the clerk on duty.
So far, no surveillance images have been released of any suspects.
No word of any injuries to the worker, both cases remain open investigations. Anyone with any information is urged to call (509)-628-0333.
