The massive blasts of snow that have shut all 3 Cascade Mountain passes have resulted in a number of Western Hockey League games being postponed.

Friday, the Ams were slated to face Seattle at Toyota Center, and Everett there on Saturday evening. Then Sunday, the Ams were to travel to Everett as part of the home and home.

According to information released late Thursday by the Western Hockey League the following games have been postponed.  Those not weather  related were due to COVID issues:

Friday, January 7

  • Everett at Spokane – weather postponement
  • Portland at Kamloops
  • Seattle at Tri-City – weather postponement
  • Vancouver at Kelowna

Saturday, January 8

  • Vancouver at Kamloops
  • Everett at Tri-City

Sunday, January 9

The league says it's working with all the clubs to make up these games. The next Americans game is Wednesday January 12th at Toyota Center vs. Everett.
