I cannot believe that I've lived in the Tri-Cities for 7-years and NEVER had a donut from...Popular Donuts in Kennewick. I've driven past the Union Street location many times. Next time, I WILL stop and make my way in.

Coming in a close 2nd is the Spudnut Shop in Richland.

According to the Spudnut Website,

Spudnuts are different from doughnuts. For one thing, they're made from potato flour. For another thing, they just plain taste better.We feel that it is only fair to warn you that Spudnuts are habit-forming. Eating just one could turn you into a regular customer and one of our life-long friends.

Next on the list is Viera's Bakery in Pasco, with two locations. One is on Lewis Street, and the other can be found on Burden Boulevard.

We, as a community are very fortunate to have a handful of bakeries that cater to our sweet-tooths (or is it teeth?) We don't however, have the big shops. Have you noticed there is NOT a Dunkin Donuts here? We do have a Krispy Kreme, though on Duportail.

There is NOT a shortage of donuts or pastries in our cities. we're fine.
