Sam Trammell is best known as Sam Merlotte on HBO's "True Blood." He also played the dad on the hit film "The Fault In Our Stars." He studied philosophy at Brown University before going into theater. He was nominated for a Tony award and got his big break with "True Blood."

In 2013 he filmed a movie that will be released this week called, "White Rabbit," about a bullied boy whose fantasies spur him into doing violent things. It takes place in Trammell's native Louisiana.
