According to the National Weather Service, we could have some freezing cold temperatures tonight in the Columbia Basin.

The NWS has issued a freeze warning from 2 AM until 10 AM Friday.

Sub-Freezing Temps expected from 28 - 32 degrees. Several areas could be as risk according to the NWS.

The areas that could be effected at the Kittitas Valley, Yakima Valley, Lower
Columbia Basin of Washington and Foothills of the Blue
Mountains of Washington. In Oregon, Lower Columbia Basin of
Oregon and Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon.

The biggest concern is the frost and freezing could kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing.

The NWS is recommending precautions that include:

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
