Embattled Sheriff Orders Jail Workers To Remove Badges

The plot thickens in Benton County as Benton County Commissioners voted to take over control of the Jail effectively taking that duty away from Sheriff Jerry Hatcher

The vote and decision to take jail operations away from Hatcher happened Tuesday later that day the Sheriff ordered jail employees to remove all Benton County badges and patches from their uniforms....made me think of the line from Blazing Saddles 'Badges We Don't Need No Stinking Badges'

Seems a bit drastic but in reality, the 100 or so jail workers no longer work for the Sheriff's office and now work for Benton County as county employees.
